Basil Colbert - Your paranoid chauffeur! (includes free model!)

Here we go again! This was a fun project, loved it! Can't talk about the story, but he's supposed to be a chauffeur who's drinking 50 cups o' coffee a day, has ADHD, barely gets any sleep and is completely paranoid (just imagine all the fun situations he'd have with his passengers! ).

Hope you guys like good ol' Basil. He's quite a trainwreck, but he has a good heart!

I also uploaded the game-res model and the colormaps for people to study it, use it for rigging tests, for polishing their (facial) acting skills, etc. - You can do pretty much whatever you want with it, except using the model for commercial purposes. I'd not mind seeing him in demoreels at all though, in fact, I'd love that

Here's the zip file that includes the model and the textures:

And I also did a quick Anzovin Face Machine Test (which is a Maya plug-in full of pure awesomeness):

Tools: I used Maya for modeling, ZBrush for sculpting, Photoshop for painting and Topogun for Retopo.

Sam Kaminski - Realtime Model

Hail to the Sam, baby!

I initially created Sam as a design pitch. What you're seeing is the realtime model rendered in Mental Ray. I used three 1k textures. With all the replaceables, he's at 14k polys.

I'll post some more model shots, hiPoly Renders and so on when I find the time to comp it all together. Hope you guys like him, I even wrote a small story snippet before I designed him that actually explains his prosthetic and the missing finger.

My buddy Holger helped me with the Mental Ray setup. Here's a turntable render:
